Christy Hawley, MA, LPC, NCC-Board Eligible - is the Owner and Clinical Director at Creative Counseling and Wellness, PLLC.  She received a BS in Psychology from Appalachian State University in 2002 and a MA in Community Counseling in 2006 from Campbell University.  Christy is currently pursuing a PhD in Counseling Studies at Capella University and certification as a Registered Play Therapist. 

Christy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#6855) and is a Board Eligible National Certified Counselor.  Her counseling experience and interests include working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.  She also enjoys working with parents/caregivers on how to conduct therapeutic play sessions with their children in a training called Filial Play Therapy.  Christy uses an integrated counseling approach consisting of person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, art, and play therapy techniques.  Christy has professional experience as an Exceptional Children's Teacher, School Counselor, Stress Manager, and Community College Instructor.  She has over four years in clinical counseling experience and also works as a Counselor at Clayton Counseling Services, PLLC in Clayton, NC. 

Christy is a native of Sampson County but currently resides in Clayton, NC and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her two rabbits, Bella and Bill.
